Another fabulous trip planned by Marcello, Edi and Vitor Italy Tours!

Dear Marcello,

This was our second trip that Marcello planned for us.  This time we wanted to explore Tuscany, Florence and Parma.  As usual everything was fabulous from the hotels, tour guides and drivers.  In Tuscany we were in small village called Montalcino where our hotel was built in 1050.  It was so quaint.  Our guide in Montepulciano was Francesca. She was so knowledgeable and taught us so much.  One highlight of our trip was the e-bike tour.  The landscape and views were amazing.  We fell in love with the beauty of Florence and our guide Martina was so accommodating.  She even made us a restaurant reservation one night at one of her favorite places.  In Parma we did several food tours with the highlight being our private cooking class in a villa with Tommaso. He went out of his way to feed us so much delicious food and sent me recipes once we got back home.  On this trip we felt like we really got to know all of our guides and it was interesting to hear about all of their backgrounds and lives.  Also we felt like we were living with the locals in several of the towns.  We don’t speak Italian and had to translate the menu items which was fun.  The food of course was amazing.  We ended up back in Rome and had to visit our favorite “meatball” restaurant, Da Enzo.

Marcello, we might be doing a round three of Italy with you.  We couldn’t imagine an easier time navigating a country that is foreign to us.
