Our philosophy allows for a much more flexible, relaxed and personalised way of touring.
Every tour is carefully planned to allow for rest and relaxation – especially on more extended tours.
You will travel to small town squares, along hedge-rimmed country lanes, and inside tiny villages full of stories and character, where you just wouldn’t be able to go on a traditional coach tour.
Being a limited group of people, you will also be able to dine in fine small restaurants or sip a cappuccino while seated in a central piazza, or even enjoy an “aperitivo” before dinner in an open bar.
No need to hurry, our relaxed pace ensures that you have plenty of time to explore and socialize.
A typical day’s driving would be anywhere between 100 and 150 Km; you will take your time without rushing from place to place and you will stop on the way, so drives will not be too long.
You will travel along scenic routes wherever possible, to enjoy the landscape and discover little spots away from the crowd that make our journey unique. Moreover, Italy features many “Strade del Vino e dell’Olio”, i.e. Olive Oil and Wine Routes, and driving on them you will come to know the local territory and people.
Ensuring maximum comfort is always our top priority. Whether you travel by car, 9-seater minivans or 18-seater minibuses, our vehicles always grant you enough room inside, with luggage storage in the rear compartment. They feature air conditioning and forced air ventilation, all seats have seatbelts and are forward-facing. All our drivers are English-speaking.
And if you want to drive along the beautiful roads of the country, we can provide fully insured vehicles with automatic gears and GPS (for more information, go to SELF DRIVING). The tour will be even more flexible, at the discovery of the most scenic spots and attractions.
Moving from city centre to city centre? You may use “Alta Velocità” (High-Speed) trains, connecting Turin, Milan, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Rome and Naples. You will travel in full comfort at 300 Km/h, getting off in the very centre of each town. A more relaxing and sustainable travel experience, with Italians among Italians
To reach the other main cities and small towns, you can travel on Intercity and Regional trains, covering the whole country.
We’ll pick you up at your accommodation and take you to the Railway Station; we’ll book your seats and, upon your arrival, we’ll drive you to your next accommodation.
VITOR groups enjoy 24 hour Back Office support and real-time follow-up of the tour. We will follow your tour step by step, always knowing where you are, manage all variations and anticipate any possible inconvenience (delays, strikes, bad weather…..), allowing you to concentrate on your experience.
“Your constant communication via WhatsApp to check in on our well being was very much appreciated. To know that we always could turn to you for help in Italy itself was very reassuring.”
