VITOR SAFETY GUIDELINES – COVID 19

VITOR’S COMMITMENT

THE HEALTH OF OUR GUESTS IS OUR TOP PRIORITY!

We want our guests to have the greatest confidence that their safety and wellbeing have been thoroughly considered.
To this end, we have enforced a range of measures and protocols to manage our expeditions in a world where COVID-19 exists.
For all the measures and procedures to be effective, we rely on you to contribute.
We thank you so much for being so supportive, and we look forward to welcoming you onboard soon.

GENERAL PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLES

The following indications are consistent with Italy’s national guidance as well as with the general guidance criteria set out in the technical documents produced by INAIL (Italy’s Institute for the prevention of work accidents) and the Italian National Institute of Health, with the main aim of reducing the risk of contagion for individuals and the community in all productive and economic sectors.

The measures indicated in this document, possibly integrated with higher-effective solutions, are being implemented within all the organizations and companies supplying VITOR with their services, particularly Hotels and Country Houses and Transport companies.

A. BEFORE THE TOUR

We accept only passengers who can prove they have been fully vaccinated before they start their tour.

7 days before the start of your trip, you will receive a self-declaration form by email. On this form, you should:

  • Confirm that you have undergone a complete vaccination cycle, with the vaccines approved by the European Health Authorities
  • Confirm that you are not showing signs of any COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Confirm that you have not been in contact with anyone who had COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  • Confirm compliance to the current travel restrictions imposed by the Italian Authorities, as communicated by VITOR.

Before your arrival, you will have to return the form undersigned. We reserve the right to refuse to supply the services included in the tour to travellers with missing or incomplete information.

B. ON YOUR ARRIVAL

At the first accommodation, you will receive a complimentary kit, including a set of masks and a sanitizing lotion.

C. ALONG THE TOUR

Travellers must wear personal protective equipment. We reserve the right to interrupt the tour if travellers don’t wear their protective equipment.
All travellers will be strongly encouraged to engage in frequent handwashing, including when entering food and beverage venues.
Any traveller testing positive for any contagious condition will not be allowed to rejoin the tour.

1. HOTELS AND COUNTRY HOUSES

VITOR has selected only accommodations and service providers that offer the most severe Covid-19 prevention measures.

The Accommodations selected by us are implementing the following procedures:

  • Yourbodytemperaturemay bedetected,preventingaccessintheeventofatemperature>5degreesCelsius.
  • The Hotel/Country House ensures compliance with an interpersonal distance of at least one meter in all common areas and promotes the differentiation of routes within the structures, focusing on entry and exit zones. In this regard, information signs may be put up and/or access to certain areas may be limited, for example, with stickers to attach on the floor, balls, marker ribbons, etc.
  • The reception and cashier desk may be equipped with physical barriers (e.g. screens). In any case, electronic payment methods with automated check-in and check-out systems are favoured, where possible.
  • At the end of each shift, the receptionist cleans the worktop and the equipment used.
  • Guestsmustalwayswearamask,whileemployeesarerequiredtouseit constantlywheninthepresenceofcustomersandinanycircumstancewhereitisimpossibletoguaranteetheinterpersonaldistanceofatleastone
  • Hand hygiene systems with hydro-alcoholic solutions at various locations within the facility are widely available and accessible. The Hotel/Country House promotes its frequent use by customers and employees.
  • Any object supplied to the guest is disinfected before and after each use.
  • The use of elevators allows respect for the interpersonal distance, even when wearing a mask, providing for any exceptions in case of members of the same household/group of travellers.
  • The Hotel / Country House ensures that all environments and rooms are cleaned and sanitized, focusing on more frequently touched areas and surfaces (handrails, light switches, elevator buttons, door and window handles, etc.).
  • The Hotel / Country House guarantees that the ventilation system is regularly checked and maintained to ensure appropriate indoor air quality and circulation.

2. PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION

The Transportation companies selected by us are implementing the following procedures:

  • All drivers have been fully vaccinated
  • Before entering the vehicle, your body temperature will be detected and, if more than 37.5 degrees, you will not be allowed on board.
  • Similarly, if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 respiratory infection during the activity (e.g. fever, cough, cold, conjunctivitis), the driver will return immediately to the starting point.
  • Within the vehicle, sanitizing products will be available for the hygiene of users' hands.
  • The Transfer Company ensures the cleanliness of vehicles and rented vehicles before the trip, using disinfectant products for the most frequently touched surfaces (e.g. steering wheel, rudder, gear lever, display, knobs, buttons, dumbbells, etc.). The sanitization of the vehicle will be carried out, in any case, in accordance with the periodicity provided by the rules.
  • The driver will always wear a mask and use it correctly.
  • As our tours are private, travellers state that they have agreed to travel together. So:
  • a standard car will accommodate up to 3 people in the rear seats
  • a standard minivan will accommodate up to 6 people in the rear seats.

3. GUIDES

  • All Guides have been fully vaccinated
  • In case of a guided tour with a car/minivan, the Guide will sit in the front row beside the driver. He/She will always wear a mask and use it correctly.

  • Guides will provide travellers with extra doses of sanitizers.
  • The Guide monitors the cleanliness of all public areas and accommodations, ensuring that appropriate safety measures are implemented.

4. TOUR LEADERS (IN GUIDED TOURS)

  • All TLs have been fully vaccinated
  • In case of a guided tour with a car/minivan, the TL will sit in the front row beside the driver. He/She will always wear a mask and use it correctly.
  • Before meeting travellers, the Guide will conduct a self-health screening. In case He/She shows any sign of the disease, the service will be cancelled. VITOR will reimburse you for the price of the excursion.
  • The TL will provide travellers with extra doses of sanitizers.
  • The TL monitors the cleanliness of all public areas and accommodations, ensuring that appropriate safety measures are implemented.
  • The TL maintains protocols and observes travellers for symptoms. He may perform a contactless fever scan to record travellers’ temperature every morning. We reserve the right to conduct this procedure at any point during the trip.
  • Any traveller who has an elevated temperature, shows signs or symptoms of illness, or whose condition, according to the TL, needs to be further assessed, will be sent directly to a local hospital for evaluation and testing. Any traveller testing positive for any contagious condition will not be allowed to rejoin the tour.
